In order to enable women enjoy the best possible health, it is essential to discuss a seperate women health perspective and there are whole range of preventive, promotive and curative services.
Women need health care in order to be able to carry their sexual and reproductive functions and to carry them safely and successfully. The needs of women have been traditionally addressed within the concept of maternal and child care. There are other helath needs and reprodcutive processes of women which is entirely neglected so far left unmet. Infertility may not be serious hazards to women's reprodcutive health but can be a major cause of mental and scoial ill health. The other issues are risk of unwanted pregnancies, STIs, HIV infetcion, fistula, pelvic inflammatory diseases, cancers of the reproductive tract, surrogacy, invitro fertilisation, etc. |
