When it comes to women’s health, the immediate problems that come to mind are breast cancer, depression and heart disease. Unwittingly terming it as a trivial problem, anaemic condition has been ignored. But the fact remains that a severe case of anaemia could prove to be fatal.
Anaemia occurs when there is a shortage in the number of healthy red blood cells (RBCs) in the body. Since RBCs are the cells that transport oxygen through the body, a shortage in their count becomes a cause for concern.
